My mom read me this entire series beginning when I was in kindergarten. I always looked forward to spending alone time with mom each night snuggled in bed to read together. Thanks to my mom for making the reader I am today.

I am rereading this book for the first time as an adult, and I am surprised that I loved it so much as a child. Since the book is mostly a description of the tasks the Ingalls had to complete to survive, I am surprised I found it interesting. Reading it this time around was just as enjoyable.
