Excellent book with many basic concepts in it. Great illustrations that really help kids key in on basic concepts while reading a fun farm animal story with animal sounds. It goes thru a day of farm animal life.
The library also has it in Spanish.
This author also wrote Goodnight Moon, Runaway Bunny, & Little Scarecrow Boy.

Soothing language and lively illustrations work together to tell the story of all the animals who live on a farm and the things that they do during the day.

There was a big pile of hay and a little pile of hay, and that is where the children play.
