The pictures are great!

Sadly, that is the only thing I can say good about this book. The editing is horrid! There are grammatical errors & typos throughout.

While some of the recipes look & sound interesting, recipes that are missing ingedients, then mentioning them later in the instructions, as well as having the same recipe with a different title immediately after the 'duplicate' is rather odd, to say the least.

I certainly wouldn't suggest this book for a first time home cook. The directions are inadequate as well. One glaring example: The Bread Pudding recipe calls for the home cook to butter a 9x13x2" pan. Then in the instructions, it says to bake the bread pudding in a pie plate! What happened to that buttered pan?!

There is no glossary of terms (some very specific to New Orleans/Creole cooking) & no resource for finding specialty ingredients. There is no reference to an online source list either, that could be updated frequently.

I've never felt that any cookbook, before this, was as painful a read as this one.
