I really enjoyed this version of the classic, as the original can drag at certain times, but the illustrious illustrations help the story progress.

The original translation of the The Metamorphosis I found a little long winded in parts. I suspect this was because of the German writing style it was translated from. In Comic book format Peter Kuper does a fine job in pacing the story and focusing on the dilemma of poor young man. Kuper's Drawing style lends it self very effectively to the bleak situation the main character finds him self waking up to.
We can only hope a cure is found before some one steps on him. You'll only know if you read the book.

An interesting adaptation on the classic Kafka story. Interesting note - Kuper also does Spy vs Spy for MAD magazine!
