Dex is a little (what we call) weenie dog because his legs are so short that's what he looks like, not to mention he's brown. He has trouble keeping up with all the other animals in his neighborhood and gets teased because he is always last. They are mean to him in addition to a big cat who is SO big Dex can walk under him without ruffling the big cat's fur.

Dex becomes very unhappy to be treated in such a mean way that he thinks and thinks and decides he needs to become a super dog, so he starts training to make himself stronger and faster.

He exercises and trains very hard and becomes someone who helps everyone in the neighborhood. In the end he saves the cat who was so mean to him and the cat has a huge change of heart.

Great book for little ones who might be experiencing bullying.
