Excellent account of the Battle of Samar in WWII in the Pacific. One of the few ship to ship gun battles and certainly one of the biggest in WWII. Great description of what a war ship goes through during enemy fire.

This is a truly fantastic book on U.S. Naval involvement in the Philippines in the Pacific Theater of World War II. A must read for any American, and for World War II enthusiasts in particular.
