In this beautiful and lucid guide, Zen master Thich Nhat Hanh offers gentle anecdotes and practical exercise as a means of learning the skills of mindfulness--being awake and fully aware. Less about Buddhism as a religion than it is about finding inner peace and quiet. I found this quite useful, using breathing to bring about a state of meditation in mind and body. The language was accessible and never preachy or condescending.
