This was a really wonderful book. I listened to it on CD in my car ... by myself! Kids weren't interested (not dystopian enough!). But I totally loved it and think any kid would, though it takes the patience (that we sometimes need with older literature) to allow the plot and characters to develop. Really and beautiful book -- probably great for a family road trip, on CD.
