A boisterous child who keeps getting mistaken for a boy declares to the world, "I'm a girl!" A colorful celebration of living life by your own terms, for the preschool set. My only complaint is that it has the stereotypical bun-and-glasses-wearing librarian who says, "shh!" Come on! I love how the book celebrates non-stereotypical gender roles. Maybe the author's next book can feature non-stereotypical librarians!
