Full of fun-facts, as the subtitle indicates, e.g. people born in a given year, historical events not directly connected with Lewis. Duriez has read all sorts of letters and diaries and includes many colorful details.

The chronological arrangement can be slightly confusing: the same date or event may occur twice in different contexts.
