Hazel Marie's troublemaking uncle, Brother Vernon Puckett, has just swept into town and questioned Little Lloyd's paternity. Suddenly Miss Julia's late husband's estate is up for grabs, and it's up to her to prove that the boy's claim is legitimate. In another hilarious and heartwarming caper, Ann B. Ross proves that a little spunk and Southern charm go a long way.

Add a Comment#7 of the Miss Julia series. Just when Miss Julia's life appears settled, a conniving liar shows up with a man who claims to be the real father of Little Lloyd, her first husband's illegitimate son. Since the boy has a sizeable inheritance from his deceased father, the claim is important. Miss Julia tries to find something with DNA to prove that the imposter is not the boy's real father, and she also has to deal with the possibility of being the first woman to stand for election in the church hierarchy. Each book has several doses of subtle humor.
