"The crime scene is unlike any that Detective Rizzoli and medical examiner Maura Isles have ever before encountered. The woman lies in apparently peaceful repose on her bed, and Maura finds no apparent cause of death, but there is no doubt the woman is indeed dead. The victim's eyes have been removed and placed in the palm of her hand, a gesture that echoes the terrifying films she produces. Is a crazed movie fan reenacting scenes from those disturbing films? When another victim is found, again with no apparent cause of death, again with a grotesquely staged crime scene, Jane and Maura realize the killer has widened his circle of targets. He's chosen one particular woman for his next victim, and she knows he's coming for her next. She's the only one who can help Jane and Maura catch the killer. But she knows a secret. And it's a secret she'll never tell"-- Print.

This book was amazing! I didn't want to put it down. It is suspenseful, keeps you on your toes, and you will not guess the ending, trust me. I've always been a huge fan of Gerritsen and reading another one of her great works solidifies her place on my top authors list.

As I always have with Tess Gerritsen's novels, I thoroughly enjoyed I Know A Secret. There are almost as many stand alone books as there are in the 'Rizzoli & Isles' series.

The plot is fascinating and horrifying at the same time, ESPECIALLY as it relates to the deaths of Catholic saints. Yowser!

Gerritsen's writing is crisp and she doesn't bog the plot down with unnecessary verbiage. I feel she 'closed the book' on one story line that threaded through the series, reinvigorated some others and left an opening to revisit one sociopath we meet in I Know A Secret.

I do think you can read this as a stand alone book, but I think it is so much more enjoyable knowing all the back stories.

What I really appreciate about Tess Gerritsen as an author is her brilliance that stems from her life outside being an author. I think both Linda Fairstein and Kathy Reichs, share equally impressive resumes with her that make their books stand out.

I am so glad I have never watched the TV series I can think of exactly ONE author whose books translated well to the screen (Larry McMurtry), so I make it a point to avoid movies and shows by authors I like. It drives my hubby crazy.

This was a really great read. It revolves around a 20 year old murder. I love the Rizzoli and Isles series.

Not bad for tv series, although I haven't seen any, but I'm judging because of the content. This is the first book of this author that I read. Ends with a hint of a possible sequel, involving one of the suspects from this time.

I finished this in a couple of days. A real page turner!!

Tess Gerritsen continues to hit her mark with the Rizzoli & Isles series with this effort. Fast paced, kind of thinking you know who is the antagonist but more than happy to follow the ride to see how it all resolves. The secondary stories - the personal ones - are thought provoking as well. Family drama is never boring, and certainly not with these two characters.

A fast-paced and twisty entry in the Rizzoli/Isles series from Tess Gerritsen. This one features the usual satisfying blend of mystery and suspense along side the personal life dramas of Det. Jane Rizzoli and coroner Maura Isles. I had an idea of "whodunnit" somewhat early in the book, but still found the journey to the conclusion to be very satisfying.

A scary, scary read with adept twists and turns. Tess Gerritsen's medical background gives her an edge writing this kind of psychological thriller. It's one of those hidden in plain sight stories where the obvious has been very cleverly obscured.

A well done beginning and an even better ending. This is a page turning, suspenseful novel with a well thought out fast paced complex plot. The Rizolli and Isles relationship continues as does Maura's relationship with her evil mother. And is Jane's mother very rocky relationship with her husband been finally resolved and is Muara's love affair with Daniel now on again? A great surprise and thrilling ending with the door open to the next novel.

I wasn't a big fan of the tv series. The book was a tad better than the series. While not the most challenging of murder mystery books, it can do if you are waiting for another book.
