Nothing in this book is integral to the series. It is more of a glimpse at our characters after the events in Court of Wings and Ruin. I still enjoyed it, though, more than that last book....So my anticipation for the next book in the series is more hopeful.

What. A. Story. I truly love her writing and am never disappointed. Here, we have a novella/bridge of sorts, between the three "A court of" books and the next three to come. I was hooked from the first page and left enthralled at the last, where it ended with the heartbreaking excerpt for the next book. It saddens me to see that Feyre and Rhysand's story has come to an end, but it is one that I am deeply content with. I do have to say, this is very "fan-fiction-y" for all the fans out there, so read on, but tread with care! To all the dreamers out there - this is only the beginning. 5/5 stars

I absolutely loved this book! While it is a novella and far shorter than the previous books, I still found it completely enjoyable. I loved being able to see the Inner Circle interact together (especially under far less stress than the previous books). The book doesn't necessarily add anything plot wise but it does add some small details that Sarah may pursue in the next series. Overall I found this a quick, fun, and enjoyable read and highly recommend fans of the ACOTAR series pick up and read.

I was disappointed in the book. There isn't much of a story-getting ready for Winter Solstice without much info on its importance or meaning. It turns out not much different then a holiday most of us celebrate. They have all turned into very heavy drinkers and should be introduced to AA. Just a bunch of we need to watch out for this group, and keep an eye on this group again without any new info on these different groups. I'm just glad I didn't buy this book. I'll give the next one a chance, then we'll see.

This novella is a beautiful, quick, and satisfying addition to the ACOTAR universe. While nothing major happens, it serves as a happy closure to Feyre and Rhys's personal story, and a beginning to so many others, primarily Nesta, Cassian, Elain, and Lucien. There were no chapters that felt forced or not needed. After the intense book that was A Court of Wings and Ruin, it was nice to slow down and see the post war every day lives of the Night Court.
My favorite characters here were far and away Rhys and Feyre, and my least favorites were her sisters, Elain and Nesta- which isn't much different from the previous 3 books. Nesta becomes even more of a horrible person, and Elain is better here, but not by much.
The sneak peek at the end of the novel for the next book gives us a bit of a hint who the next trilogy will be about, and I'm hoping that they go through some SERIOUS character growth, or I may end up throwing the book across the room. But of course I'll still read it. And now, the wait for the next ACOTAR book begins.
(Content warning- there is a sex scene in here.)
