As a non-parent a good many years beyond my teenage period, I often find it challenging to talk to teens, and even more difficult to get them to listen to me. This book outlines a number of strategies that parents and others can use to get better results when communicating with teenagers. I like the author''s approach: each chapter begins with an account of a parents'' group meeting and describes some of the issues faced by the participants, and ends with illustrations of various effective approaches that adults can employ with young adults.
