Everyone's favorite frog learns to swim!

Frogs are supposed to be great swimmers. "Not me!" says Froggy, who's afraid of the water. But with a little encouragement, some practice, and the help of a silly song or two, Froggy becomes an expert frog-kicker!

"Froggy's childlike dialogue and the sound words--'zook! Zik!'; 'flop flop . . . splash!' make this a wonderful read aloud." --School Library Journal

Young Froggy fans will enjoy this addition to the the Froggy series, because it is filled with the type of silly, onomatopoeic words, loud exchanges between Froggy and his mother, and embarrassing moments that readers and listeners have come to expect from the Froggy books. The story addresses a common fear among children and actually models replicable techniques for teaching children to swim in a fun way. Listeners may want to mimic both the body motions and the words that Froggy and his mother repeat multiple times during their swimming lesson. Of course, the idea of a frog who can't swim and needs to put rubber flippers on his feet is ridiculous, but that's part of the fun.

Froggy's story rings true to life because it mirrors the experience of our preschooler learning to swim: reluctance at first, then after mastering some of the basics, he didn't want to get out of the water.
