This book is a wonderful choice for story time! The bright illustrations and repetitive text lends itself well to a preschool audience and there are plenty of opportunities for interaction. Kids love to repeat "Chugga, chugga, choo, choo!" or help you count the birds in each of the numbered train cars. This book also teaches some basic sensory concepts, inviting readers to experience each place the train visits with one of their five senses. Overall, a great read aloud!

This is a great storytime pick, with great repetition. Children will love saying, "Chugga Chugga Choo Choo" along with the reader, and the bird sounds towards the end are a lot of fun.

The acrylic collage artwork is nicely done, with the train in bright red with the numbers 1-4 on each of the passenger cars. Observant readers will notice that the number of birds in each passenger car corresponds with its number.

Excellent pick for Preschool or Family Storytime. One of the best books to demonstrate our 6by6 skills: Notice Print All Around You and Talk, Talk, Talk. Pairs well with the song, "The Goodbye Train."

This is a great book for learning and reinforcing counting skills. The illustrations are wonderful. Perfect for all the little train lovers out there.

Bright, colourful illustrations and repetitive language make this a great book to read aloud. Young children will enjoy saying "chugga chugga choo choo."
