From the Publisher: Best-selling picture book creator Mo Willems continues his charming Elephant and Piggie first reader series. The books feature two lovable and funny characters: an optimistic (and sometimes reckless) pig and a cautious, pessimistic elephant. Children who sat on their parents' laps to have Pigeon read to them will eagerly take the plunge with these books to start reading on their own. Each book has been vetted by an early learning specialist. These sweet and surprising stories are a much-needed breath of fresh air in the early reader arena. In There Is a Bird On My Head!, Gerald discovers that there is something worse than a bird on your head-two birds on your head! Can Piggie help her best friend?

Another Mo Willems classic. Elephant and Piggy books are hilarious, very simple to read, and have plenty of Kindergarten and First grade sight words.

Great book for early readers. It has simple vocabulary with great illustrations that help children read the story and typical humour of Mo Willems.

Mo Willems is almost freakishly talented at expressing emotions through one slight change in a character's eye shape.

I really enjoyed this book. I thought it was pretty funny when the birds were on Gerald's head and then he asked them politely to go somewhere else and they moved their nest to piggie's head.

What happens when a bird settles on Gerald's head? Then two birds? Two birds that build a nest? Who happen to be love birds, according to Piggie? Read to find out the amusing ending!
