When five-year-old Robin went out into her back yard there was a large hole right in the middle of her sandbox. She reached down the hole as far as possible and gave an enormous yank. Out popped a baby. The baby can only say "Murmel, murmel, murmel". Robin sets out on a series of hilarious adventures, trying to find the baby a home.

Robert Munsch has a warped sense of humour which I find funny and my kids like also. Murmel, Murmel, Murmel is one of those books.
