Definitely not his greatest book. All over the map.
Doesn't come together well.

Done very well. Just the facts. This book is for the open minded person who requires evidence before making a commitment to a particular way to lead ones life. Please remember just because someone believes something or even a million people believe something, doesn't make it true in any way. To know for sure the (belief in question) must be observed and tested. This is called science, this is why we know the earth is not flat. Several hundred years ago (not a long time)
everyone thought the world was flat. You get the point.

While I share similar concerns with Hitchens and Sam Harris, I prefer Chris Hedges' "American Fascists: The Christian Right and the War on America", which is a more nuanced analysis of the issue.

Also, reading up on financial hegemony and political economic history would be of great benefit.

An author reading from his own work is usually a mistake, but it mostly works here, because God Is Not Great is a personal rant. To say Mr. Hitchens sounds mumbly and bored is merely to say he sounds English.

I was extremely excited to hear that it was actually read by Mr. Hitchens, with his recent passing I couldn't ask for a better reminder of how great a man he truly was!
A MUST READ!

The book is well worth reading, establishing some great arguements and basing them on reason... not "faith"...
However, the audiobook is narrated by the author and he does not read well. many words are mumbled and he seems bored with his own materials. Read the book instead.... please!
