An excellent, harrowing, and intriguing story about killings, crimes, and misuse of power revolving around Aids in Africa and in particular Southern Africa. Although the title is Kennedy's Brain and has innuendos of conspiracy in Kennedy's death, it is only used to juxtapose the magnitude and the idea of a possible cover-up surrounding Aids in this continent. Specifically, how might drug and pharmacuetical companies, related business entities, profiteers, etc., are using africans and that continent, as one would use mice under laboratory conditions; to develop, test, essentially perpetuating Aids in africans with the main purpose of profit, power and market position.

This book tells the story of an archeologist unravelling the mystery of son's murder, using the methodology of archeology. It is also about AIDs in Africa. A good book.

"Average" it was not, but I don't know how else to rate it. It was grim and unpleasant, and had nothing to do with Kennedy's brain. I expected a lot more from the hype. OTOH, it was decently written even after translation, cleverly plotted, and I guess makes you think.

African scenes and characters interesting but shallow. Some of the plot is too improbable. Still kept me interested to the end.
