From the host of television's comedy-punditry show The Colbert Report, comes the book to fill the other 23 hours of your day. This book contains all of the opinions that Stephen doesn't have time to shoehorn into his nightly broadcast, his most deeply held knee-jerk beliefs on The American Family, Race, Religion, Sex, Sports, and many more topics, conveniently arranged in chapter form. Stephen addresses why Hollywood is destroying America by inches, why evolution is a fraud, and why the elderly should be harnessed to millstones. You may not agree with everything Stephen says, but at the very least, you'll understand that your differing opinion is wrong.--From publisher description.

Rambling, disconnected and definitely BORING. Makes me think his talk show writers don't get proper credit......if this is supposedly what he thinks on his own.

Wickedly funny book by Colbert and company, lampooning the typical conservative pundit by acting just like one. If you're a fan of the show, you'll understand the book, which is appropriately biting when it needs to be.

There's something amazing about how on-tone this book was. It was like Colbert was right there reading it to me. It was just so... Colbert-y. Sure, there's nothing that's exactly surprising - it's all what you expect from Colbert - but it's very funny. Something to get you through those dark weeks when the Daily Show and Colbert Report folks are on vacation (again).

The man is funny but his book is not nearly as amusing. HIs writing is not clever. I tired of his commentary after the first 20 pages--it's the same old sarcastic insulting jokes over and over. There's no variety, no freshness to maintain your interest. You're better off watching the Colbert Report.

Sir Dr. Stephen T. Colbert, DFA, is America. If you read this book, then you, too, can become America. If you love America, you will love this book, and America will love you.

In the absence of so many great Americans from the past: Jefferson, Roosevelt, Roosevelt, Fillmore, Reagan... Sir Dr. Colbert fills in the void that has been left in the Great American Dialogue. This book says what "The Great Gatsby" never could.

This book gets it.
