"Requiem for an Assassin" is able to easily capture the reader's attention as soon as they begin to read it. Author Barry Eisler does a great job at putting the reader inside of John Rain's mind as he is forced to face numerous moral problems and even makes them sympathize with him, despite his numerous flaws. The book contains several violent scenes with graphic descriptions of violence, which are able to capture the reader's attention as well as several cliffhangers that will make readers anxious about what will happen next. This story will excite and surprise readers by leaving open mysteries about what will happen next in the plot. The book also has a profound message about self-improvement. I would recommend this book to anyone who is interested in the action genre.

Another John Rain novel, the inner turmoil of the assassin is particularly well done.
