A creative concept. I can honestly say I've never seen anything like it in a picture book. The plot is built around an optical illusion where you stare at one color for ten seconds, then stare at a dot on a white background and see the same shape in the complementary color. Reading this story made my eyes tired.

This book plays tricks on the eyes. One one page the animals are one color, but when you look at a blank page your eyes show them as another color! Fun to play with and explore.

I know this is supposed to work but it didn't work for me. In science class it worked with solid colors.
