Did not enjoy this story - TV crew people are awful. The ladies in the town of Drim are nasty to each other. The author is a snob. Hamish did not appear that much in this story which was a disappointment. Read 14 of the Macbeth series and enjoyed all of them but not this one.

Policeman Hamish MacBeth watches with disdain as a television crew descends into his neighbourhood to film a local author's out-of-print mysteries. Before too long, the scriptwriter, the film's leading actress and the actress' husband are all dead and it is up to Hamish to find the culprit.
