Add a CommentThis somewhat dated DVD's intentions may have been to heap praise on and encourage spectator interest for all of the touristy-type wonders that bless "The City That Never Sleeps", but, with that said, I found it pretty hard to remain fully awake for this tour's entire one-hour running time._____ In my opinion, this 1997 production (featuring The World Trade Center Towers still standing fully erect) was a decidedly poor excursion around one of America's apparently most diverse, dynamic and celebrated cities that reigns within its entire nation._____ I mean, it certainly didn't spark my interest enough to get me thinking about visiting The Big Apple sometime soon in order to see it all, first-hand, for myself._____ Yes. I definitely appreciated this DVD's informative narration which thoroughly covered NYC's 250-year history, but, all the same, I found that the historical sites and other points of interest were photographed rather amateurishly and, as a result, the whole production had a noticeable rushed and lackadaisical feel to it.
This covers some interesting territory at a brisk pace but the script is pretty painful and the photography is very poor quality. It looks like it has been filmed by someone who sneaked into the country without permission to film.
