This was the strangest ab work out ever. The cardio portion(first 20 mins) is so complicated and done at an unreasonably fast pace. There is a lot of flailing your arms around while standing then sitting in a chair? I am not sure how sitting in a chair while throwing my arms in all directions was suppose to work out my abs but I am pretty sure it hurt my back! The floor series was nothing special just some pilates/yoga stuff mixed in with the typical burpees and crunchies, this part was slower but still the sequences were very complex and hard to follow. Over all I felt this whole DVD put my back and neck at risk of injury without doing anything for my abs. The “of steel” series is aimed at people with beginner to average fitness(like myself) proper form is the only way to save yourself from getting hurt but it’s impossible to focus on proper form when the exercises are fast, confusing and complicated. I really loved the buns DVD and the mama DVD’s but abs of steel just missed the mark on every level.
