"Syd, a breathtakingly beautiful supermodel on a photo shoot in Hawaii, disappears. Fearing the worst, her parents travel to Hawaii to investigate for themselves, never expecting the horror that awaits them. "LA Times" reporter Ben Hawkins is conducting his own research into the case, hoping to help the victim and get an idea for his next bestseller. With no leads and no closer to uncovering the kidnapper's identity than when he stepped off the plane, Ben gets a shocking visit that pushes him into an impossible-to-resist deal with the devil. A heart-pounding story of fear and desire, 'Swimsuit' transports readers to a chilling new territory where the collision of beauty and murder transforms paradise into a hell of unspeakable horrors." --Publisher description.

Be aware that this deals with the detailed description of a serial killer's crimes. Even though there is tension and excitement it is not for the faint of heart. Not my cup of tea.

Good, not great.

Not one of Patterson's best but still good. Could most always put it down, but did want to finish it.

I enjoyed the book but wish he hadn't made the main character an ex-cop. As such, he came across a real dunce....

This was an excellent book, very graphic, and suspenseful.I often wonder with so many James Patterson books published each year, all now with co-authors, how much of these Patterson actually writes, and how much the co-author, in this case Maxine Paetro writes. It doesn't matter in this case, this book was quite entertaining.

My least favorite of Patterson's cloak and dagger's. The characters were not well developed and the motive for the crime lacked depth or any link to reality. I know it's fiction, but that's what I love about his other books - they almost could happen.

Exciting book, but you need a strong stomach for the gore.

If you like remorseless, senseless, pain inflicting invincible serial killers this novel's for you. I don't. 3 of 10 stars
