"In a career spanning more than thirty years, Patrick Swayze has made a name for himself on the stage, screen, and television. Known for his versatility, passion, and fearlessness, he's become one of our most beloved actors. But in February 2008, Patrick announced he had been diagnosed with stage IV pancreatic cancer. Always a fighter, he refused to let the disease bring him to his knees...Yet in this memoir, written with wisdom and heart, recounts much more than his bout with cancer. In vivid detail, Patrick describes his Texas upbringing, his personal struggles, his rise to fame with 'North and South', his commercial breakthroughs in 'Dirty Dancing' and 'Ghost', and the soul mate who's stood by his side through it all: his wife, writer and director Lisa Niemi..."--Dust cover.

Such a wonderful and touching written by a man who passed way too young. Patrick is one of those people that, even though you know basically everything that's possible by reading about them, you will still just go on and on about them. Him and Lisa were such an amazing couple. It makes me realize that the world isn't full of no-good people, that there actually are those few that have such big hearts. I would've loved to see more about his battle with the tragic cancer, but I honestly cannot say anything bad about this autobiography. Pure perfection. R.I.P. Patrick Swayze. An angel who died too soon.

A little disappointing, this book is a brief account of Patrick's career which lacks depth. Although his career has certainly been interesting I had hoped for more insight into his battle with cancer. The love story between Patrick and his sweetheart is beautiful.

It's Patrick ... nothing left to say other than - Au-Revoir.
