This story seems to have promise at first, then the plot wanders and the characters seem to keep chasing some mythical target. I slogged through,as I'm ever hopeful and optimistic - but I was disappointed. I won't pick one of his books again.

Book starts one way and then seems to go to an entirely different plot. Ending extremely disappointing. What the heck was Black thinking? And what was I thinking for even finishing this book...

This is the first time I've reviewed a book and don't plan to do it often. Do not waste your time with this book. I would have put it down if I hadn't been on vacation with no access to an alternative. It reads like a movie script and not a book. The characters are one dimensional. The plot is nonexistant. The ending makes NO SENSE. I fell for the reviews on the jacket. Don't go there.
