This book is great! A bored, lonely boy named Milo receives a mysterious cardboard tollbooth as a present. When he drives through it in his toy car, he finds himself in a through-the-looking-glass fantasy world, inhabited by strange creatures, such as the Humbug (a giant insect who is invariably wrong) and Tock (a watchdog who has the head, legs, tail, and personality of a dog and the body of an alarm clock). With these two companions, Milo sets off on a quest to rescue the lost princesses, Rhyme and Reason. This book is stuffed with brilliant puns and is absolutely hillarious. All ages will enjoy the book or the recording. The narrator does a great job capturing the humor of this book and portraying the characters. A+
